About Drew
Hello. I hope these words find you doing well. Just to clear the air, I am not an illusionist; illusionist are very talented people though, people who are masters of doing the impossible right before your eyes, people very skilled in the art of awe and wonder, entertainers by nature, people of genius, and I do not have such gifts. Instead of doing the thing where the owner of the website goes on and on about themselves and how cool they are in third person, Drew asked me to write something. Drew is an illusionist. A very good one too. He’s not the kind of guy you’ll see revealing rabbits hidden in top hats with a bow tie on, or the one whose defining moment is pulling a quarter our of your nephews ear. Not that he’s above these things or he doesn’t have time for your nephew, because he does, it’s just that illusionist get a bad wrap sometimes and I want to tell you that what Drew does is very different. About 8 years ago Drew Worsham picked up a deck of cards and a few magic books and starting learning your basic slide of hand moves. It wasn’t long after that he was doing various birthday parties and such, mostly as a hobby. As time progressed the invitations to things kept coming and a local insurance agency invited him to a company party. It was at this event that something was revealed to Drew, something that would change everything. I should probably tell you this before continuing. Drew is a passionate follower of Jesus. He doesn’t just talk about God when it seems appropriate, or go to church on occasion; Drew is actively committed to the cause of Christ in this world. At this banquet with a crowd of people completely captivated by magic, Drew realized that there would be no better place to share his heart and his real passion for life. What Drew does now and has been doing in the context of ministry for the last 6 years is really something rare and something special. It is not weird or awkward or childish, but rather it is a brilliant tool that God has given Drew to use for the kingdom, for the King. Imagine a room full of people, no matter the number of people or size of the room, completely tuned in to the messenger, completely overwhelmed by the illusions, and then things turn almost as if it were part of the plan, things turn towards Jesus. The guy with tricks becomes the guy with a story, the greatest story ever told; the story of our rescue. Traveling with Drew over the past year on the road to Washington has given many opportunities to see him on and off the stage, and honestly there is no difference. This is intended for you to know about him when I’m finished. So I’ll finish with this. Drew Worsham is a talented illusionist, a lover of life and people and of Christ, and anyone who has him in for an event to minister to their people, will be very grateful they did.
